Well, since my last post, I finished Joe Biden and have now started Thomas L. Friedman’s The World is Flat. And by that I mean it’s sitting on the floor about 6 feet away from me.
Continuing on my tirade about pop culture and TV and things, I bring you my thoughts on the Food Network.

As it turns out, we, as a country, are so fat that we like to watch other people cook food. Food that usually has a name that we can’t pronounce. Food that we’re too lazy to prepare.
But you know what show I love? Paula Deen’s show. I love her recipes. And her accent”.
“Alright, y’all! Ger out your seven sticks of butter. Now, put them all in your saucepan and saute your biscuits. After they’re nice and golden brown, let’s cover them in cheese and wrap them in bacon! Now, roll them in the ranch batter we prepared earlier and let’s drop ‘em in the fryer!”
Recipe serves 10. Include ranch dipping sauce and a healthy dose of beta blockers.
